Best stuga for now and only a third of a day of Högfjäll left.

If you are ever in need of a day off: Blahammaren. Nothing more, nothing less. Too sad we've just have had our day off, but if we might come back again, sorry Sylarna, Blahammaren has the better restaurant (Hint to Sylarnas breakfast crew: put fresh hot cooked eggs shortly into cold water). But you have to run like jesus with a cross on his back, when someone tells you at 14:30 that bastu (read the previous post;-) closes at 18:00 and you still have 12km to go. So tomorrow I'll pick up my cross on our last day to Storlien.

Sylarna at last after 20km.

Has anybody seen my feet somewhere? Feels like crouching through the Fjäll. One good bastu (the thing called sauna in the rest of the world), clothes washed, meal cooked (still no instant stuff, my back loves loosing weight to carry) and a day off! We'll sacrifice one of our STHLM-buffer days. Just one day for feet-recreation.

And it's funny how nice and friendly other tourists are up north. Must be a bit of 'No pain, no gain' and 'hang on each other'. So I'll have to try out Kungsholmen restaurant in STHLM and check the online student system of Dalarna University.

What a great fraggin' view, btw.

No funny Ultimate Endgegner tomorrow.

Just as we reached Helagstugorna via Kungsledens highest point at 1080m, fighting tons of mosquitos and knotts (tiny black delta flyers which like to just take a bit of you away - no kidding!) at about 28deg and great sunshine, we thought of visiting Swedens most southern Stora Glaciären right above our tent. But some mighty instance has other plans as it looks like. Helags got transported to misty London - its even dark!

Now, where are the zombies?

The regular weather in the mountains.

It switches fast. Wind directions can jump by 180 deg or the temp can raise or lower by 10 deg within a few hours. Last evening I was a bit lazy putting up the tent, because of the fine weather - for sure during the night, wind has risen up, playing funny drum sounds on the tent while pouring down several oceans. But now there is a glimpse of blue sky at 10 deg. Off to a late breakfast and again on the run - only 14km today. Great. Hope my socks get dry within the next hour.

Alone but 100% net.

What a great place for a night. Now off to Fälltjägarstugan. 17km. But funny to have connectivity out here.

Half the way.

We have to leave civilisation again. One road is too much. And we can't find the entrance to kungsleden again. ;-)

Half the way...

After a full day in rain we were in need of a day off. Schedule skipped. But now back on the track.

Three wonderful days at the #festival in #Arvika

It really got huge, much bigger than 2 years ago. But still worth every cent. Thank you, Arvika! Input overdrive, so you'll have to wait until were back from södra Fjället.

Already on our way up north. Until next post, some unsorted impressions attached.

Strange ecological meanings and good friends.

If you wake up by melting away, this is a summer in scand with 25c at 7 o'clock. You remember last night when your neighbours started throwing wooden piles, for a Kubb match around midnight and directly afterwards a table pops out of nowhere. Funny teamup seemed to end near 6 o'clock in the morning.

Now let's take back those empty 4 cans of beer (light - thx to ryanair) and 2 bottles of water. There is something called Pant and you should get some money back. But this well-known camping lot in Gothenburg says, they don't take them back, just put the empty cans in a garbage can - that's a funny folk interpretation of environmental protection.

Scandinavias biggest telco managed after 3 years that visitors (at least me) are allowed to use the internet if they own a prepaid card. As ordinary tourist do not forget your swedish ID - but the times they are changing, may it be IPRED. So the service is much better: Telcos service point just frags completely the whole mobile configuration incl. SSL but shows a full functioning integrated browser. Opera, Twitter, Mail and Jabber do not work anymore.

During a wonderful sightseeing trip by boat, you have the time to reconfigure your old settings of SSL, Opera, Twitter, Mail and Jabber.

The end of a wonderful day misses the best: a good meal and to meet friends. So now it gets real interesting, as to become aware that Svensk Piratpartiet knows about ############# (the following has been censored by your personal spare-time management system)
